Title: Impatience
Fandom: Total Drama Action
Notes: For June Fic-A-Day. Contains spoilers for episodes which have only aired in Canada (which is... all of them right now, but will still be true come thursday) I wanted this to be longer, but at the time when I slapped it up on the challange community there was a tornado heading for my town and I needed to get it up ASAP so I wouldn't miss today if the power got knocked out.

Courtney liked to think of herself as a patient person. Instant gratification was great when it happened, but rarely possible. Getting ahead in life required carefully planning and the patience to see those plans through, and Courtney fully intended to get very far in life.

But she was going to kill Michael if he didn't get her back on the show soon.

Sure, the reasons he always gave for the delay were solid. Sure, he was worlds better than the first idiot lawyer she'd hired (and that would teach her to listen to her parents when they tried recommending a friend of theirs for a job). Sure, even the most simple of legal actions took time to accomplish, and this wasn't that simple.

But it had been weeks. Weeks in which the people on the show had time to form alliances and strategies that didn't include her. Weeks in which Duncan might get on somebody's nerves badly enough to get voted out at any time, robbing her of the one person she was sure would be on her side.

Weeks in which Duncan got closer to Gwen, which just wasn't acceptable even if she was out of the show now. If he was forgetting about Courtney after the fool she'd made of herself because of him, he was a dead man!

Courtney liked to think of herself as a patient person. But this time she didn't have time to spare.
