ff_exchange! All four of their requests are things I could write easily, no need for replaying or anything. Staying vague to avoid giving anything away, one of them revolves around something I love mucking around with in fanfiction, one of them asks for focus on a character that I've always really loved, and one would let me play around with a pairing that I've always liked but never written. (The last I also like, it just doesn't lend itself to any pithy statements about how well it suits me.)
I... don't even remember what my own requests are anymore, except that one of them was for Rude/Tifa because I wibbled over whether to request it again when it's what I received last year. I need to dig through my inbox for my sign-up form to refresh my memory.
It's a good thing that the only problem I should have with my exchange fic is deciding on which one I want to write, because today I also signed up for Hardmode, the video game fandom Big Bang with Dragon Warrior VII (I can never decide whether I should call it "Warrior" or "Quest", but I used the US name for signing up since that's the version I'll be writing from) and that I do need to replay. I've already gotten a good hunk of the way through it in preparation for the Big Bang, but DQVII is one heck of a long game, even by the standards of JRPGs. Luckily I'm already past the part important for the crack-ass pairing that most of the fic will be focusing on building up so it won't matter that much if I can't finish it before I start writing, but I'd still rather finish it up. Plus I don't have any other plot bunnies for a fic that long in a video game-verse bouncing around in my head that isn't for a Final Fantasy game, and I don't want want to write a FF story for it when I'll also be signing up for the Final Fantasy Big Bang, so it's not like there's anything else I could have signed up for.
