Aug. 1st, 2003 04:33 pmI dreamed an action movie last night. Or this morning, depending on how you want to look at it.
It started out with me in a classroom of some sort, and in the back of the room George Lucas was doing audio commentary for Star Wars Episode Three. Then he had to go do something and asked me to take over, but I don't know what the hecks going on onscreen, plus I hate the Star Wars movies, so I don't have a clue what I'm doing and just do my best to describe what's happening. This wasn't helped by the fact that whenever I looked away for a seconds I'm miss huge chunks of the movie.
Then I left the room and the dream skewed and the place I was at was suddenly a huge city, the whole place held in a giant building with many many stories. There's nothing growing anywhere within it, and the people living there have no concept of the sky since all they can see is the roof over head, and they're forbidden to leave the building. The only people who this doesn't completely apply to are the wall guards who watch and make sure no one makes it out and the government. It wasn't a horrible place, but there were a couple of absolute rules you'd be killed for breaking. Then dream-me and a friend met an outsider who'd somehow gotten in (and who looked like he had some amphibians in his distant ancestry). And for some reason we decided to leave with him, and fought our way down to the basement level and slipped out the basement window. *snorts* The wall guards saw us and shot at us but we slipped off into the green leafy paradise the world had become outside of the building.
Of course, proving to me that this actually came from my brain and I wasn't somehow psychically picking up someone elses, me and my friend completely shut down in this "horrible" new setting and we were soon caught and dragged back to the city where we were made a bloody example of. At least the frog-jerk who convinced us to leave our happy lives behind got killed too.
