You know how sometimes you get an inflamed tastebud? Usually after you burn your mouth or something?
When that happens to me, I take a pair of tweezers and pull the thing off. See, leaving it as it is it will hurt for a few days. Pull it off and it stops hurting almost immediately. I just did it no more then five minutes ago to one, and I already can run my teeth over that area of my tongue without even the tiniest twinge of pain.
The problem is, I've heard before that tastebuds don't grow back if you lose them. So, if that's true and someone wasn't just yanking my chain, someday I might end up unable to taste anything because I'm too much of a wuss to put up with a day or two of pain in exchange for them healing on their own.
