(no subject)

I've been baking all day today. Literally, all damn day. I rolled out of bed this morning, showered, then went down to the kitchen at eleven am and came out again at five-thirty. I'm still not done; the sugar cookie dough is chilling to be rolled and cut, and then there's two other types of cookie I'm making and truffles.

Damned relatives. It's cheaper then buying actual gifts for them, but takes forever.

Sometimes I think I might be a bit too geeky for my own good.

I got down to the last of the sugar cookie dough; you know, when you can no longer fit more then one cutter on the dough at a time without rolling it too thin so you take the one then reroll the dough and do another, and so on.

Then Neil Armstrong comes on the TV in my living room yammering negatively about the color yellow, and the first thing that pops into my head is that he's talking about the Green Lantern.

With that in my head, I grab a knife and cut out the Green Lantern symbol in dough. Then, not wanting Marvel to feel left out I do the X-men symbol. I wanted to do Batman's next, but couldn't make it nice so with the last of the dough I made the Decepticons insignia, and the Triforce.
