Just Married Exchange

I generally prefer lighter fic, fluff and comedy and happy things, but don't feel that you need to force your fic in that direction. I will ask that if you can please aim for an ending that is happy, or at least hopeful. An unrelenting angst parade down into unending misery without any light at all really is not my thing.

Genre-wise, I'm not generally a fan of major AUs or crossovers. By "major" AUs I mean things like high school or modern day AUs, where the characters are transposed into a hugely different setting. I'm fine with AUs exploring how the story's world and the character's places in it would be different if some events in the story were changed. I'd also really rather not get something that's pure porn, I don't read that much porny fic to begin with and would generally rather get plot or character introspection over a PWP, but I am fine with sex scenes that aren't the main focus (please ask through the mods if you feel like including any harder kinks, but the only thing I definitely DNW sex-wise off the top of my head would be a/b/o or any type of play with bodily wastes). I like futurefic as long as it's not purely focused on the characters being domestic with kids (I don't mind them having kids, as long as they don't take over the entire story).

I like both plotty and character-centric stories (or character-centric plot!). I like missing scenes fic. Not a big fan of canon scenes from a different viewpoint unless you can do it in a way that really twists how the original scene is viewed. I'll admit that I love catching little references to canon sprinkled into a story, nods to previous episodes or quests or whatnot. No issue-fic, please, or trans headcanons.

I wibbled back and forth between requesting several pairings (I like almost all the tagset!) or just the one, but finally settled based on the fact that Haruichi's story is the only one that made me go "Okay, these two need to get married" at the end.

Quick breakdown of my thoughts for some of the less obvious tropes (though if your own mind takes you elsewhere go right ahead and run with that!):
For bridezilla I was imagining either Haruichi's mother or Ayumi, and the people getting too involved can also be Ayumi as well as the Mamiya Family. I'd like less focus on the MC's own family (with an exception for her mother, since I think we see enough of her to get a decent fill), just because I wouldn't be too interested in a lot of OC-focus.

While I put on the crashing a wedding prompt imagining something after the game's canonical ending, feel free to have anyone (other than the third or fifth liars, they're the only ones to totally lose me with their reveals) as the other participant. I imagine Haruichi as the crasher, but if you can manage to sell me on the MC realizing she has to stop his wedding in a timeline where she hadn't been down his story path I would be totally happy to see it. Surprising herself by going nuts with jealousy when Ayumi gossips about how she's heard some lucky girl snagged Mr. Mamiya?

I'm imagining the "practical reasons" as actually something Yakuza-related urgent enough to convince her he needs to marry ASAP (or maybe something related to him being able to keep his company independent of the family, or her starting to have issues at work with people not trusting a wedding planner who hasn't been married herself at her age?) and Haruichi as the one who doesn't realize she's genuinely fallen for him since his own feelings are already well-established.

Ever since I first met Stentor in the game I've had this idea in my mind of Kassandra angrily seducing Stentor with the thought that it would drive her father mad to learn that the son he'd chosen as a replacement for her and Alexios had hooked up with the daughter he'd thrown away. I'd imagined it as a one-night thing, but why not marriage!

I'd also be very happy with something set post-canon (preferably in the happiest ending where she has her whole family together on her ship with her), the two of them getting to know each other with the air clear between them, starting to click in battle, and getting married out of real affection instead of with hidden anger behind it. While I didn't select any tags for it, something that touches on the fact that only one of them is going to be getting any older could be interesting too, though I'd rather something about that focused on the time when they first recognize it but should still have a lot of time left rather than something angsty when he's an old dying man and she's still strong and young.

And while I was obviously thinking of her family with the reaction tag, thinking about it more something about Barnabas and the others back on the ship watching this whole courtship going on with a better idea of her motivations than anyone else could be fun too!

(Sorry this request has less prompts than the others if you matched me on it, it's one of those things where I like it a lot but just can't think of much to say!)

A lot of the tags I picked for these two are very much for funsies rather than having a set idea for something I'd like to see with them. For the most part I haven't gotten very shippy about characters in the MCU, but these are the two pairings that really won me over immediately. Everything about Peter and Tony's interactions just clicked with me, and while Shuri and M'Baku don't have as much to go on I walked out of that movie just wanting fic where she wants to climb that man like a mountain and goes for it.

With the aliens I was imagining something where the aliens in question have a code where they will leave already married people alone when abducting folks for breeding stock, or maybe just not necessarily being a breeding thing but will not separate a married couple and the couple think they'll be more likely to escape together.

The mail-order spouse one I was thinking of it being characters outside the pairing making the mistake: everyone thinks someone ordered Tony a teenaged groom as a gag or wrangled up a bride who can handle to techy things M'Baku doesn't care so much about or whatever.

I'm sure it's no surprise that I'm totally imagining that "fake perfect world" as one created by the soul stone, which I know has been done but is still always fun!

For the time travel one I did deliberately go with it just being the consciousness going, that trope's one I like better if the traveler mentally takes the place of their older self plopped into the marriage rather than existing as their own person outside of it (and I have no issue with Morgan being around if you want to do that 'their child is the only/first one who figures out what happened' thing with it), but with the alternate universe I'm okay with it being played either way.

I partially wave a couple of my DNWs for this one; I still wouldn't want any of them to hook up with anyone else over the course of the story but I'm fine with mentions of past-Tony/Pepper and any of his other lovers, and while I don't want anything super kid-focused I don't mind Morgan existing.

Obviously an undercover case in the name of the game with my requests here! Outside of the actual being undercover something I'd like seeing is if the other animals on the force wonder whether it would seem too unusual to have a married couple where one is a predator and the other prey, but neither of them can fall seamlessly into clicking off another person as if they were married the way they can with each other. Maybe it actually works out to their advantage, because nobody suspects that a couple which draws plenty of questions would be undercover instead of a pair that blends in more.

For the real wedding night prompt I'm imagining them coming up with justifications for why they aren't really doing what it looks like they're doing every step of the way (until they are). Like, they don't know how nosy the neighbors are, one of them can't sleep on the couch in case someone looks in. They'd better kiss and act physically affectionate before getting into bed in case any of the neighbors happens to glance out their windows and see the "newlyweds" getting ready for bed. Who knows whether there are peeping toms in the neighborhood, better cuddle up in bed just in case so things look normal if they spy. And so on.

First of all, I'm familiar with the books as well as the TV Show so feel free to pull anything from them that you'd like (I wibbled a lot about which version to request since I generally prefer the book version of the pairing because he doesn't give her to Ramsey in it, but decided to go with the show purely because her ending in it is exactly what I hoped for and never expected to actually happen).

While I have a lot of political marriage tropes in my tags I do genuinely ship these two, but the way I like it is when Sansa's either reached a point where she can keep right up with his scheming or is at least on top of it enough to catch him out and call him on shit he's stirring.

I like Sansa being very careful of choosing a husband who won't make her people think "Welp, the Queen's married, guess he's the one in charge now". A southerner from a tiny territory who she hopes won't start making power plays since he does his own thing better as a voice in the ear of power then as the one up front and center anyway. Maybe she waits a good few years first to make sure she's well established in the eyes of the North as the one in charge (which might also help quiet potential grumbling over her choice, if there's a sense of 'Thank goodness she's finally picked a consort so can stop worrying about what happens to our barely reestablished kingdom if she dies without an heir.')

As for the contest one, while I do like the pairing I also like Sansa forcing him to prove himself after everything he's done.

Handwave his being alive however you'd like.

For many of these prompts I was imagining a scenario where Adam doesn't successfully stop the apocalypse and they get married in some sort of ritual where the one on the side that's set to win (I'm imagining Heaven coming out on top since Hell's trump card decided he wanted nothing to do with the whole thing, but either way is fine) is able to lay claim to the other and basically backdoor them in with the winners when all the other demons or angels are being slaughtered.

Though one of them trying to settle into a new country the other is already established in and having to talk them into an actual Earthly green-card wedding could also be funny! (Things were so much easier before the humans started trying to keep track of everyone all the time.)

And anything where things go just as they do in the books and the two of them are still safely on Earth, get married, and try very hard to keep their respective higher-ups (and lower-downs, and just anyone remotely related to work) from noticing would also be great. Maybe hanging around Tadfield a bit, not really sure if Adam kept his powers (rather hoping he didn't) but figuring that if there's any chance he did then this small child might be able to keep eyes from both sides off of them if they got his approval.

For the saving the day one I imagine it's Aziraphale trying to pull off some massive win for Heaven just because I don't imagine Crowley would care as much about permission, but either way would be fun even if his focus is less 'make them okay with it' and more 'make them not do horrendous things to us both if they find out.'

Nothing pulled from the Amazon series, please; I requested them in this exchange specifically because it was going out before that dropped and I knew that if it was popular it would probably suddenly get much harder to find totally book-canon works.
