person4Detroit PBS tends to air various concerts in the middle of the night. Right now it has on Great Big Sea (the main site has an inbedded wave, so it may take a while to load, but if you've never heard them before you might want to listen). I have it on mostly as an earbug while I write, only turning around and paying attention when I realising that they're playing one of their songs that I know and like and mostly ignoring it otherwise.
So, they start singing another song, and I find my ears keep getting tweaked to it even though I don't know it. And I don't know why since it's a bit (read: way) too repetitive for my tastes, so it's not a matter of my hearing a bit of it then liking it and wanting to listen. But it keeps catching my attention every verse/chorus, so finally I keep watching through the next verse to figure out what's doing it.
*facepalms* The song in question is General Taylor. The second line of every verse and the chorus is "Walk him along, John, carry him along." So, everytime I heard them say "John, carry" it tinged a bit of my mind that was drawn to attention by the thought of someone singing a song about John Kerry.
