I seem to be going kind of crazy for writing challenges this past month and a bit. Let's see; going into this month we had [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti finished (though that doesn't really count as a "challenge"), and my story for New Game Plus which is finished in my head but I've still got to finish transferring it from there into the actual story file. Then I made a claim as [livejournal.com profile] a_to_z_prompts, but it's the type of prompt community that doesn't have a time limit between entries so if I'm ever bombarded by other things I don't need to stress about that one. I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] story_lottery (and then promptly forgot about it until there was another post about it starting up the other day u_u). Again, no big worries; that one's only seven prompts long, can be for any fandom so I can run with whatever inspires me for a prompt instead of needing to stick with one claim, and it runs until May so that's plenty of time. Then I swore to finish Unity.

And then, just now, I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] avatarbigbang on a whim. I only went to the community to see what writers were signing up! I've only written Avatar once and hardly read fic for it at all (okay, that part's true of any fandom; I love fanfiction but I got a bit burnt out on reading it)! But then I saw that the word requirement was only 10k, which is very low for a big bang, and a half-second later my brain exploded PLOT which will easily stretch out that far all over my thoughts, so I figured 'What the hell'.

And all that's not even counting the stuff I already know that I'll be doing later in the year: [livejournal.com profile] ff_exchange, after getting my copy of the first [livejournal.com profile] mgs_fanbook I knew that I definitely wanted to sign up if there's another, after five years I'm not skipping [livejournal.com profile] fic_on_demand's annual fic-a-day in June, the Final Fantasy big bang whenever sign-ups start, and [livejournal.com profile] yuletide at the very end of the year. And more of the other multi-chapter story I've been writing.

Kinda get the feeling that I'm looking for a distraction. *g* I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it ends in my producing a metric fuck-ton of fic this year, and not in my imagination throwing up its hands and giving me the world's worst case of writer's block in protest at the workload.
