So many games these days have their difficulty levels scaled to be accessible to as many people as possible (minus a few bosses where they amp up the difficulty to give you a challenge) that it's kind of bizarre to come across one that actually really kicks my ass, not in the normal 'you die once or twice on this part and then you figure out the trick to beating it (which is probably to level more) and move on' way, but 'you die on this part a dozen times in a row, even after looking on the internet for help, and it's the fourth or fifth time this has happened throughout the course of the game with more sure to come if you ever actually beat this bit'.

I have less trouble with Shin Megami Tensei games, which have a reputation for being tough, than I've had with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

Though I don't think it's any coincidence that every single time I've had major difficulties it's been in levels where I'm forced to fight loads of enemies. I've always been a purely stealth player in Metal Gear game and I suck at aiming on the fly instead of being able to lurk somewhere quiet and pick off the enemies with plenty of time to take my shot.
