person4Last night I finished outlining the chapters last couple challange words for my 30_kisses pairing. Well, the last two are just a couple of sentences each because, of course, the last two that I fitted into the story were the ones I had the least amount of inspiration for.
Anyway, it's sort of weird looking at the outline file. I never make chapter by chapter outlines of fics; I come up with the beginning, ending, and the big events in the middle then I just come up with all the connecting bits (aka, the vast majority of the story) while I'm writing. But since this time I had to know how I was going to write a chapter around each challange word I figured I had to outline it this time, and ended up spending 6000 words (who knows how many of which will actually be useful, after the story starts taking on a life of its own) on that. I feel all responsible writerey all of a sudden, which I doubt will last long once my normal procrastination kicks in, but for the moment it's weird.
Now, let's see how much of a difference this makes in my writing speed.
