*sighs* Honestly, I like smut fic. And I like the occasional sex scene in a plot-filled fic. But when the first half of a fic, up until whatever characters the author's pairing get together, is plot-filled and then the unresolved plot gets totally dumped to the side in favor of the characters suddenly being unable to keep out of each other's pants for an entire scene it makes me lose all interest.

Though this might also have something to do with the fact that the writers who tend to do this always seem to write incredibly boring, repetitious, sex. If they mixed things up a bit more they might keep my attention.
