person4I feel kind of guilty about my Yuletide sign-up form this year. The past two years I took the time to go through and volunteer for every single fandom I could possibly write, just in case there was anyone who only requested things that were really rare and might end up with me being the only possible writer match. It took forever last year, since the fandom list was massive and first I had to go through and pick out every single one I could write any of the characters for, then go over the list again for every one I could write just a few characters in. I ended up with almost ninety fandoms on my writing possibility list.
This year I got bored halfway through the list, and only ended up volunteering for nineteen. I've got a good mix of really obscure things and more popular things, and I know I'll get an assignment easily enough, but I still feel like I flaked out.
Of course, if I cared that much I could always go back and fill it out again, but... two thousand fandoms. Just the thought going through the whole thing again makes my brain go flat.
...Though I suppose I could just refer to the things people've already requested on the Fandoms List and just go straight to things on there that I know I could write instead of going down the whole list.
