Notes: For June fic-a-day. Set at the end of the first story arc. Which mean violence.
He laughed as the first swing of the bat caught Mion in the head, as the next cracked across Rena's back. With this he would finally be free. No more crazy girls dogging him, seeing his every move, through his every lie. No more needles in his food. No more attempts on his life. No more terror.
It seemed like it barely took any effort before their bodies stilled, but he continued striking them, not even sure if he was unable or just unwilling to stop. As their skulls crunched, leaving no doubt in his mind that they were dead, his eyes began to sting with tears in spite of the relieved laughter, although that still wasn't enough to stop him from beating at their bodies. At what had been his best friends, just a few days before.
